Common Complications After Stroke

medical-563427_1920As many as 9 in 10 survivors will experience some form of complication after their stroke. These can include issues with infections, movement, cognition, nutrition, and social impact.

Although these complications can have serious consequences on the survivor’s health, there are things you can do to reduce the risk. Prevention, screening and early treatment are vital in the management of post-stroke complications.
